Having this question in the quiz, I understand why the answer should be "son". What I don't understand is why there is no "pas" in the negative expression? (n'a oublié pas son billet)?
I've used the Kwiziq library search to try and find a lesson (or any information) on how to use "à partir de", but no luck. For example, can a translation of "from the 24th of July to the 5th of August" be "à partir du 24 juillet au 5 août" as well as "du 24 juillet au 5 août"? What's the rule for using "à partir de"?
And why isn't the rule included in this lesson?
Hi,
Can you kindly explain the use of the preposition in the following sentence.
In a phrase 'je t'aime de tout mon cœur' that translates to 'I love you with all my heart', why do we use preposition DE to express WITH rather more commonly use AVEC.
Kind regards, Kirill
Pourquoi le phrase "Il s'en occupe tout de suite" veut dire "He takes care of them right away. (i.e. things)" au lieu de "He takes care of it right away" dans le test? Si je disais "Je m'occupe de mon problèm," pourrait-on utilise "en" pour remplacer le seul problèm?
Just to be sure. Negation also requires masculine form, am I right ?
La jupe coûte 30€. - Ce n'est pas cher !
Can you use 'c'est chaud/c'est moche' etc to talk about the conditions that the weather has created? For example, at the hight of summer it's not uncommon to hear 'c'est chaud' as one enters someone's home.
The word clore jumped out at me as well. Very much enjoyed reading and listening to this exercise.
I'm a little bit stumped as to why the text insists on use of the pluperfect instead of le passé composé?
E.g. mes sœurs et moi avions hurlé and nous étions allés à l'église locale.
Why is it not nous avons hurlé and nous sommes allés?
Merci en avance pour la réponse!
on est perdus..... why plural ? on can take the place of nous ... is that the reason ?
