Hmm ...bit confused by the use of C'est in the translation for the very last sentence. Surely, the statement is not general (as per the hint) but applies specifically to 'les rogails a la saucisse ..etc. and is similar to examples in section 2b of the C'est/ Il/Elle est Tutorial  ..... 'Tu aimes mon pull ? -Oui, il est très beau.'

Why is it that when you want to say new before the consonants, you say 'nouveau' but when you want to say new hotel, you say "nouvel hotel" because 'h' is a not a vowel

"on aurait dit un savage" translates to it looked like a savage, but I'm unsure of the rule for that. Is there a lesson on this? 

I think there may be a problem on your end here with the technology.  It has been very difficult to advance to the next sentence in the dictation, as it seems the system is "stuck."  Please look into this matter.  Thank you.

How would you translate the sentence, "Wine, we don't drink much of it." I wasn't sure about "Le vin, ..." so I asked Google Translate, which said it should be "Du vin, ..." But Duolingo marked that wrong and said it should be, "Le vin, ..." Which is correct? "Du vin, ..." actually feels more correct to me, because what you're really saying is, "On the subject of wine, we..." And wouldn't that be, "Au sujet du vin, nous ..." ? (Sorry, I don't know how to classify this type of sentence.)

Is it alright to use "Pourrais-je vous offrir une boisson chaude gratuite en attendant ?" What would be the difference in using pourrais and puis, if any? Thank you.

In this lesson, we use Elle est à New York to say She is in New York

But in another lesson, we use J'habite dans le New Jersey to say I live in New Jersey

Now I am a bit confused about the use of dans le and à with cities. Help!

The recommended translation reads 'au sein de sa famille ou au sein de sa communauté'. Why is the long prepositional phrase repeated? Could you not say 'au sein de sa famille ou de sa communauté'?
