I have just signed up to learn French from scratch, but...

After taking the initial test, naturally, my level is entry level. However, the suggested lessons consist of things I have no idea about. I don't even know the French pronouns to begin with! How is it suggesting things like using La, Le, etc.

I'm not very encouraged to upgrade the plan if that's the case.

Would you mind clarifying this issue?

Why is it " Allez, lève-toi! " ? (Vous or tu?)

I am confused by this sample imperative sentence.

Shouldn't it be Va, lève-toi!

This relates to Critique Gastronomique writing challenge. Why isn't the imparfait used instead of p.c. for we wanted to avoid "les terrasses touristiqAnd why les rather than des?

Could be clearer?The lesson doesn't highlight the point that you can swap clauses around - so e.g. start with conditional, then go to imperfect or v.v. Whichever way though, what changes is the position of 'si' and hence if you are using the imperfect as first or second verb.

"Nous changions de voiture tous les ans". Why can't we say "Nous changions une/notre voiture tous les ans"?

When do we use "changer de" and when do we use "changer"? What is their difference?
