Is ice cream plural in French?In the weekend A1 writing excersize it gave, "Leurs glaces sont excellentes !" as the answer for, "Their ice cream is excellent." I got it wrong, of course, because I used it as a singular like I would in English. But earlier in the dialog, they also used it singularly, so I'm not sure why or when it should be plural?

In the sentence, On est gentils. Gentils is a plural form...why are you using a plural form with "on".

why the singular pouce here and not the plural pouces, as they each have a thumb/pouce and not a mutual thumb, which they all would be sucking?

Ouvrir dans le passé simple-Wordference lequel je souvent utilise me dit que ouvrir dans le passé simple est <ouvrit> et ne pas <ouvra>. Lequel est correct ou sont les deux correctes? C'est difficile d'avoir les notes parfaites quand il y a deux bonnes réponses.
