Manque de ?I keep getting this one wrong despite having read the lesson multiple times. What property of X determines whether it's "manque X" or "manque de X"? It says manque de in the lesson, but surely l'école is "something" but does not need "de"?

des efforts vs un effort ... ?I don't think this is a question pertaining to the subjunctive, however, it is something I am unsure about and which appears in this lesson. So I may as well ask here. "... fassions des efforts" - is translated as "... make an effort." But yet, "... fassiez des cookies" is translated as "... make some cookies." Why does one say "des efforts" rather than "un effort" to mean "an effort"? Thanks!!

"Followed by" is habitually rendered as "suivi de". Does the "de" always change to "par" in the passive construction? If so, this is worth spelling out in the lesson.

surely fatiqué is conjugated with avoir and not être. Yet the answer to the question I have posted below uses soyez and not avoir2Je vais vous ramener chez vous avant select ...que vous n'êtesque vous ne soyezvous êtesvous soyezselect ... trop fatigués. (I'm going to bring you home before you're too tired.)
