I have never studied passé simple. Where do I start on this.

Sorry, the previous one jumped out without me knowing...

As I can understand, lui/leur is more when we are addressing an action towards someone, right? je lui parle, je leur demande, etc. in the test the question was about "voler" FROM sbody. So is it an exceptional case, or is it both "to" and "from" direction? Thanks!

... elle ait eu son examen” is translated as “she got her exam.” Is that the same as “she passed her exam”? If so, can we just stay with “she passed her exam”? If we were saying she got her degree or got her license, it would not be a problem.

Question: What is the best way to say ''He waited for twenty minutes.''?

Correct Answer: Il a attendu pendant vingt minutes.

Wrong Answer: Il attendait pendant vingt minutes.

If the question was "He was waiting for twenty minutes.", would the correct answer then be "Il attendait pendant vingt minutes."?
