If I wanted to say, "I misunderstood," would any one of the following be acceptable?

Je me suis mépris. 

J'ai mal compris.

Je me suis trompé.

Salut! Thank you for this wonderful platform for studying French! I have one issue to share: I am an A0/A1 learner. One of the quiz questions "Who is speaking?" was asked regarding this sentence: "Je suis acteur." My reponse was "Both of them." However, when reviewing the corrections, it stated that my answer was "Michael" and the correct answer was "Both of them." I tripled checked and I did input the correct anwer each time. I just wanted you to be aware.

So "j'aime" means "I love" but J'aime bien" means "I like"?  It would seem more, to me,  that to "aime bien" would be more than just to like but is this just idiomatic?

Why favorite (feminin) and not favori when Mon (masculin) activité est le ski (masculin) de fond ? Have missed something ?

In the test, I got the following question

"Elle a mangé tout le gâteau !" means:

- She is eating all the cake!

- She ate all the cake!

- She is going to eat all the cake!

- She has eaten all the cake!

- She had eaten eat all the cake!

Could you please explain why we you believe 'she has eaten all the cake' is correct but not 'she had eaten all the cake'? How would we say she had eaten all the cake in French and why is this not passé composé?

Quelle est la différence entre "d'abord," "au début," et "pour commencer ?" Il y a des nuances d'utilisation ? 

Could one also use « la facture «  as well as « la note »?

how can i distinguish which verbs with direct object, which with indirect object? i did a lot of wrong answers because of that.

When would you use the "aller faire..." format such as in "Avec mes copines, on va faire du shopping ce weekend", versus just "faire du shopping"?
