why is it fais instead of fait
Why is “You remind him of Audrey Hepburn." ? Translated into “Tu lui rappelles Audrey Hepburn.”
Isn’t it missing an “à” as per lesson guidelines? Shouldn’t it be “Tu rappelles Audrey Hepburn à lui”?
Can we say aux agents de bord instead of avec les agents de bord?
Can you also use the verb détester as in je déteste
Bonjour,
In one of the examples above:
Maintenant que ses parents n'étaient plus là, elle devait s'occuper de sa sœur.
However I'm confused because it states that Devoir with l'imparfait is "was supposed to [do]", however the translation is:
Now that her parents were gone, she had to take care of her sister.
Why is it not:
Now that her parents were gone, she was supposed to take care of her sister.
Merci
Je trouve ça difficile écoute quellefois. Comme, parce que à 16h
J'écoute
Par kes cest heure
One of the examples in this lesson reads, "Tu vis en dehors de la ville." I was wondering about the distinction (if there is any, subtle though it may be) between saying that and saying, "Tu habites en dehors de la ville."
When the final answer to the text is presented, why is
"j'ai appris beaucoup sur la culture française" favoured over
"j'ai beaucoup appris sur la culture française" ?
Any rules here ?
Thanks. Paul.
Could "bivouaquer" be used to say set up camp?
