Hi, with reference to “les Belges brassent près de huit cent variétés de bière ?”, “les Belges brassent près de huit-cent sortes de bière ?”, and “les Belges brassent près de 800 types de bière ?”.
I thought that it was not correct to capitalise “les belges”?
I got a quiz question from the "a besoin de" lesson:
Cette année, Michaël ________ perdre du poids.
I was using "doit" here, but the correct was "a besoin de"
I couldn't find a full explanation why the second one is correct but the first one not.
Does the meaning change in this case (I could imagine that doit would be closer linked to a real need, e.g from a medical perspective, while besoin would be more linked to his wish to lose weight, but no idea if that's the case).
Can’t there be two correct answers to this statement about France’s territory depending on whether you are referring to ‘the territory’ or the territories ‘climate and relief’?
I used 'le livre titule....' instead of 's'appelle'
is it fine?
Merci
Question: Doing some review before taking an immersion class. To the question: Please translate s'brosser in passe compose "We brushed our hair", I wrote: "Nous nous sommes brosses..." (with the correct accent). Response was that it was nearly correct and should have been "Nous nous sommes brosse". I don't get it. Why would it be singular? Thanks in advance.
I wrote
Nous nous rencontrons
instead of 'nous nous rejoignons / nous nous retrouvons
is it fine?
merci
i wrote
j'aime 'ramasser' instead of 'collectionner'
Is it right?
I used
1) 'récompensant' for 'gratifiant'
Also
2)'ausculter' for 'diagonistique'
3)pour sept ans instead of 'pendant sept ans'
Please let me know if its right
Merci
