use of plus-que parfaitAs a first step into B2 territory, I'm trying to understand how/when this tense is used. My first idea is that it is used in a "story- telling" way. e.g. Elles étaient allées manger une glace. They had gone to eat an ice cream.... Thus they were not home when the tree fell in their house. Or: "I know a tree fell on their house- are they okay? Yes, they had gone to eat an ice cream." So, am I going in the right direction as far as understanding how this tense is used?

Masculine or feminine

HI,

I was wondering I took the test and the question asked me if je suis professeur is Leon or Marie and I put Leon cause it's a masc ending but was marked wrong? Then the next question was je suis acteur and select Michael or Catherine or both of them and when I chose both of them it was marked wrong and said I should have picked Michael!

So why is the word acteur marked for masculine but the professeur is not?

on nous vs on se?For reflexive verbs, is it always on se or can it be on nous? For example, we talk (to each other) everyday = on se parle tous les jours. Can it be on nous parle?

Question about the usage of froid

(1) If the person is female, we still use froid instead of froide? For example, Elle a froid?

(2) How about plural female pronoun like "elles"? Which one of the following is correct: a) Elles ont froid? or b) Elles ont froides?
