Why is it that the ending /s/ in "boutiques", in this sentence "mais toutes les BOUTIQUES EN ligne sont en rupture de stock", is not pronounced before the next vowel /e/ in "en"?

So it was pronounced like /boutiQUE-en/, rather than /boutiqueS-en/ which is what I expected.

Is it just a style? I find it hard to know when I'm supposed to pronounce the /s/, or /x/ at the end of a word if it comes before a vowel, and when I don't.

On a apporté chacun ________ provisions.

The suggested answer is "nos", and my answer "ses" was marked wrong. I understand the underlying rule. However, in this case it feels really odd to say "chacun nos provisions"... Is this really natural in French? Is "chacun ses provisions" really wrong in this particular phrase?

According to a lesson, "tous" should be placed between the auxiliary verb and the past participle

Judging the accurate choice

Bonjour Madame Cécile !

A sentence provided reads-

1.Les gens...........on a passé une semaine en France, avaient deux chats adorables.

The answer I gave was -> avec qui/avec lesquels.

However, the correct answer was -> chez qui/chez lesquels.

2.Le bâtiment.............tu avais garé ta voiture était juste à côté de la poste.

Here also, Madame , the correct option was devant lequel as opposed to dans lequel.(mentioned by me)

3.Connais-tu le médecin.............. il s’est fait soigner ?

In this case I am confused whether the right answer is chez lequel or par lequel ?

I request you to please provide a grammatical explanation why my options were not the accepted ones.

In the example Il est celui qui mange le plus bruyamment, why is il est used instead of c’est?

I thought when être was followed by a noun or pronoun the subject would be c’est, like c’est mon fils or c’est la mienne. Isn’t celui also a pronoun? Is it because il is also the subject of the verb manger?

Gerard’s House writing A-1

In the first sentence Emma: Today I am visiting Gérard’s House your answer is Aujourd’hui je visite la maison de Gérard.

I thought visite is for museums, not peoplés house. For people we should use rendre visite. Please explain

Also, la maison de Gérard, = chez Gérard?
