Hi everyone, I have a question. I am struggling with the les and the leur.

Why is it "les" if it is "Je les ai aidés à déménager", but "Les enfants vont au bord de le mer; je leur ai acheté des vêtements d'été."

Le Conditionnel PasséIn the weekend workout for 29 January 2021 in the B1 translation there is a sentence ‘the things I would have done with that money’. I translated this as ‘les choses que j’aurais fait avec cet argent’ the best answer given is ‘les choses que j’aurai faites avec cet argent’. Why is aurai used as it’s not conditional and why is the past participle fait of faire not used.

With "je devais le prendre" shouldn't it be in perfect tense since imperfect of devoir means "supposed to do" and perfect is "had to" ?

Notre clients projette d'aller a la concurrence. Wouldn't "competition" be a more precise translation than "our rivals"?

I understand that in the expression "brand new" you use neuf rather than nouveau, but otherwise when would you use neuf rather than nouveau - or are they equivalent?
