Would the meaning change if it began with "Je rêvais toujours..." to indicate a continuing/ongoing state of mind in the past?

Please could we have English translations of the dictation passages? A dictionary does not always help with some of the vocabulary used e.g. 'rustre' 

In one quiz (Kwiz) I was asked to translate "five thirty AM" I wrote "cinq heures trente" assuming the 24 hour clock.  This was apparently wrong because apparently we were talking about a 12 hour clock.

In the very next quiz (Kwiz) I was asked to translate "ten minutes to seven AM" so I wrote "sept heures moins dix du matin" which was also wrong because we were now apparently talking about the 24 hour clock (not apparently for any other reason).

Would it be possible to tell us whether we were talking about 12 or 24 hours on the clock?

My natural presumption is for 24 unless otherwise specified.

What exactly does this phrase mean?  I translate something like "Like a good granny cake".  What is a granny cake?

Why can’t you use “de bonne heure” for “early” instead of “en avance”?

This was my question, then I answered 'Annie a gagné dix milliers d'euros'. 

The system did not accept it. ..okay, maybe I wrote dix milliers de euros - instead of d'.. I guess that was the problem.

However, the explanation I had, was 'Annie a gagné dix mille euros'.

Can I also use the other option above, 'dix milliers d'euros'?

Should gagner be in future simple or present?

I eat sweets only
