Hi,
Can I say like below also insted of "Patrick va mal en ce moment."
Patrick sent mal en ce moment. (Patrick is feeling bad right now )
Regards,
Rahul
It would be a closer translation I think to say "goes with" in English. As English uses "to go" in the exact same way as french. E.g., "that shirt goes with my sister", is a closer translation than "that shirt suits my sister". In my opinion, as it maintains the "to go with" lineage in its meaning.
I was wondering if "je préfère rester dedans" would be an acceptable response?
Voui avez traduit "red bell pepper (US)" comme poivron (sans rouge). Je peux vous assurer qu’il y a des poivrons vert, orange, rouge, et d’autres coulors aux États-Unis. Je crois que the adjective rouge est nécessaire pour être précis. En France, si on utilise poivron seul, ça signifie un légume rouge ?
why do you say 'jeter un coup d'oeil rapide'? Doesn't coup d'oeil already imply a quick look ?
I heard "Nous avons tous les deux nos carte Avantage". "Nos" instead of "Une". Is there a typo in transcription?
How is if possible to know exact punctuation in dictations when none is given? Why is not just the French which is corrected? What a wind up.
Hi,
This is the example given in the lesson: "Le mardi 5 mars, j'ai rencontré Lola." (On Tuesday the 5th of March, I met Lola.) And in the test, the correct answer is "Mardi, 6 janvier, j'étais malade." (On Tuesday the 6th of January, I was sick.) I am still confused about why it is not just 'mardi' or just 'le mardi' in both sentences.
Thank you for your response.
Warm regards,
Rahul
You say you can never use des autres to express some other things, but when i translated, 'I have other shoes' on google translater it came up as ' j'ai d'autres chaussures.' So i'm very confused. Is Google translater wrong?
Le poivron peut être vert, rouge, jaune, et orange. Pourquoi "du poivron rouge" est-il faux ?
