What is the function of 'ensuite' in this sentence? It doesn't seem to appear in the translation ' we then rested for a few hours'. Perhaps it should be 'we then rested together for a few hours.'?

We were asked to translate from English "nights when you are not here."  The answer is "les soirs ou tu n'est pas la."  I don't have accents on my keyboard."  Why "la" and not "ici"?  Is "ici" a correct alternative?

This suggests Martin is still here, thus the present tense should be used. Given answer is-Martin n'est pas arrivé depuis longtemps.

Compare this with the previous question:

We haven't lived here very long- Nous n'habitons pas ici depuis longtemps.

I don’t understand why you say ‘soit du fromage’ but not ‘soit du travail’

The suggested correct answer is "fassent"; but why is it not "feront"? Surely, even in French, there is a difference in meaning between "I'm afraid they will be naughty" and "I'm afraid they are naughty"?

In this case, the answer is "y" because of the contraction (à+le) in the sentence?

reverso gives an etre and an avoir form for grossir. As this is intransitive in the sense that he has put on weight himself, I assumed it was the etre form? You marked it wrong.
