Qui habite à travers la rue?
II noticed that she pronounces the s at the end of "plus". I have never understood when to pronounce this and when not. Could someone explain please?
Scratching my head as usual on this subject. This time concerning "et j'ai joué de moins en moins". Since I was doing this (playing) less and less, surely that means I was continuing to do it in the past, if I'd only done it once as a completed action, I ipso facto couldn't have been doing it "less and less"! - hence, I thought, "Je jouais de moins en moins". Why is it Passé composé? (Will I EVER get my head round this particular issue: it's always the thing that trips me up!)
OK, I spelled 'conduisiez' wrong, but I am puzzled as to the of the expletif 'ne' here. As I understand it, it has no negative meaning, but how does one know when to use it in these subjunctive clauses?
Wouldn't on y va also be translated as let's go?
The listing of all of the cases can mislead people that may not have done previous lessons; either assume people know the difference between qui and que and cut out the listing or assume they don't and shine a light on:
(Tout ce) qui = Subject of the following verb
(Tout ce) que = Object of the following verb
I was wondering how you would put combien into a question with inversion; and I couldn't find any lessons adressing this specifically. This occurred to me while thinking about the question "How many words in the dictionary?" Would it be:
Combien de mots la dictionnaire a-t-elle?
Combien la dictionnaire a-t-elle de mots?
La dictionnaire a-t-elle combien de mots?
Or would it be something different?
Anyway, I just need to ease my curiosity.
Isn't 'une boîte' a nightclub? Surely it would make more sense for Elsa to be leaving a nightclub than a box?
This lesson is on the A2 listening practice list but is shown as a B2 level exercise. Either it's mislabeled or it's in the wrong place. The 5th lesson below this one (Dispute entre frère et sœur) has no level designation in the title, and the 2nd lesson under that one (En gardant mes neveux) is labeled as a B1 level exercise.
I also checked the A1 listening practice list and there are several lessons on that list that have no level designation.
This seems more like a content issue than a Help Desk problem.
