I adore the construction with the "ne" expletif but is it used in "la langue quotidienne"?

prepositions before infinitives - à porterAprès tous ces mois à porter les mêmes vêtements

Could you help me find a reference to understanding the use of prepositions before infinitives (I understand prepositions after).

Also, I read the question as 'after months of wearing', but can à be used for the preposition 'of'?

objections to the tower

Il y avait une opposition considérable à la construction de la tour. De nombreux artistes et écrivains étaient contre le projet mais la popularité de la tour et de l'exposition a fait taire les objections.

Use of future tense... lorsqu'on visite un nouveau lieu.

I thought the future tense should be used after quand or lorsque. So, shouldn't this phrase be, lorsqu'on visitera un nouveau lieu.

Why do we have Office de Tourisme, amateur de vin, Miroir d'Eau, amateurs d'histoire, protégé de France ( why not de La France?)

but, Cité du Vin, de l'histoire du vin, Fontaine des 3 Grâces?

"Pu" sounded like "plus"

In "J'aurais pu changer ..." I kept hearing and "l" in "pu." Did anybody else hear this, too?

What register of "anyone" would be used to say "she doesn't talk to just anyone"

It is a negative sentence, not affirmative, nor a question, so would "personne" be the correct translation? If so, how would you translate the sentence to convey the meaning of "not just anyone meets her standards"? Is there an idiosyncratic French expression for this?
