Is there a reason why the quiz accepts "Puis nous avons organisé une fête" and "Nous avons ensuite organisé une soirée", but not "Nous avons ensuite organisé une fête"?
What's the difference between the locations that can have preceding articles and those that can't?
After eighteen months of study I still can't really understand this. 'Les Français mangeaient les escargots' seems to be ok as an alternative to 'des escargots'. But 'Tout ce qui ressemble à la viande rouge' as an alternative to 'de la viande rouge' is not. To me it's the same kind of statement; and to have to say 'ressemble à de la viande rouge' sounds like 'resembles some red meat'...
Please explain to me why "que porte le maître en raquettes à neige" means the opposite, should it be "que le maître en raquettes à neige porte"?
If you are refering "vous" formally to single person would "Vous n'êtes pas arrivé en retard". Arrivé without the "s".
