Dear Kwiziq Team,
It has been more than 24 hours that I paid money to upgrade my account. I received the receipts from your side on email as well. But my account is still not upgraded. I have written multiple times to your email id and have not received any reply. Also I contacted on the phone no. provided but it was unavailable. I have left the message but no reply.. Please let me know how much time do you take to upgrade after receiving the payment. otherwise please refund my money.
At the beginning of broadcasts, I've heard things like, "Bonne journée. Nous sommes le mercredi 24 janvier 2024. Commençons notre programme."
Is the "Nous sommes" used formally, or conversationally as well?" Would a teacher say "Nous sommes..." rather than "C'est..," for example? Or if a friend asked for the date, would it be odd to say, "Nous sommes le 24 janvier?

une pomme à cuire = a cooking apple jumps out to me as an odd one out. You wash with a washing machine, iron with an iron and sew with a sewing machine but the apple is the one being cooked here. Is this a peculiarity of edible things or does the French just work differently to English?
Could you have 'ça' in this sentence as an alternative to 'ce' ?
In this example, "You are leaving next Tuesday, aren't you", the correct answer used the present tense to indicate immediate future, but next Tuesday is not the immediate future. What is the cut-off? A week? A month? It varies?

Why not "était" instead of "a été" ?
Oui, je sais, c’est vraiment bête, why not c'était vraiment bête,
Le pauvre Tom n’arrêtait pas de dire pardon, Tom was'nt stopping saying pardon, instead of why not use ? Le pauvre Tom n'a pas arrêté de dire pardon, Tom did stop saying pardon,
Tom did not stop saying pardon, or Tom ne arréterait pas de dire pardon, Tom would not stop saying pardon.
I find these tenses very confusing,
Does French follow the same linking verb + adjective convention as in English? Linking verbs, which include "to feel", link the subject and the predicate so are followed by adjectives, not adverbs. In the kwiz, there was "Je me sens mieux." I feel better. Of course, "feel" can be a transitive verb also as in "feel an object," so a person can feel (it) better, in which case "better" is an adverb.
