In the exercise, how is "ils" a verb?
If I am sure about which salad I am eating, I would still say 'Je mange de la salade,' 'Je mange une salade,' or 'Je mange la salade.' What is the difference?
If I am trying to say Amongst all the sports, I like playing ______ the least or I don't like playing _____ the most, which one(s) of the following forms are correct? Is it a superlative with verbs or with nouns?
Je n'aime pas jouer au foot le plus.
J'aime jouer au foot le moins.
J'aime le moins jouer au foot.
Je n'aime pas le plus jouer au foot.
"Ah, la voilà !"
Would "là voilà" be an acceptable alternative to la voilà in this context ?

I’d be interested to get a feel for how often inversion is used in everyday speech and the register of the examples below, from further down the thread. Presumably the one with quand at the end is the least formal?

Juliette et Pauline, elles ont déménagé quand ?
I believe the explanation in the Q&A for using the present tense in place of a conjugated verb should be part of the main lesson as opposed to surfacing in the Q&A as it is an important exception to the general grammar rule and subject of the lesson.
Why do we use j'ai toujours eu for "I have always had"? My understanding is the passe' compose' of avoir implies "I got" more than "I had". If we want to say "I had" we should use j'avais.
