Can someone please explain why the etre is used in the following question instead of Avoir. I'm a bit confused by this because most of the other sentences do not use je suis. Thanks Je suis avec ma copine depuis 2005. I have been with my girlfriend since 2005.

I don’t think it is correct English to say ‘Merseyside comprises Liverpool’. One could possibly say ‘includes Liverpool’?Maybe it is a phrase that doesn’t directly translate?

More emphasis on 'to fit'I think the lesson does not currently explain clearly enough the use of 'Aller à' to mean 'to fit.' It is only mentioned once in passing in the initial explanation, and there is no associated example phrase at that point. In fact, there is only one phrase using it in this sense in the entire lesson, mixed in with nine other phrases in the examples and resources. I didn't get the second correct answer in question two of the Kwik Kwiz, mainly because of the lack focus on this meaning in the lesson. I think a minor tweak would make the lesson more balanced in explaining the different meanings of 'Aller à' Thanks, Michael P.s. I love the whole approach of Progress with Lawless French, and find it really addictive, which must surely be a good thing when learning a language.

When to use dernier and when to use passe

I'm unclear on when to use dernier and when to use passe and this lesson doesn't address that. I hear la semaine derniere and la semaine passe.

For the sentence “Yes, you’re not wrong” I wrote “Oui, tu ne te trompes pas” thinking that I could use “se tromper” as an alternative to “avoir tort”, but it appears not. Can you explain ?

Bonjour, question... Je ne comprends pas pourquoi..... « Ils détestent jouent au foot » est correct.

Je pensais qu'on ne peut pas mettre ensemble deux verbes déjà conjugué. Est-ce que c'est la Gerondif par chance ? Vous avez dit; form of verbs with l'Infinitif - c'est pourqua j'ai le question. (pardon de mes erreurs grammaticeux)

Une douzaine de means twelve or about twelveI think I have it now. It is only une douzaine de which can be precisely a dozen or about a dozen, the other -aine numbers are always approximate. Correct?
