Une phrase avec "Si/if" ... l'imparfait/le conditionnel Stephane ...(allait) rater son rendez-vous s'il ne se dépêchait pas. Est-ce qu'on peut dire plus correctement -Stephane raterait son rendez-vous s'il ne se dépêchait pas? Est-ce que j'ai raison? Expliquez -le-moi, s'il vous plaît.

Susan suggested a great mnemonic not to mix up être and faire in the passé simple :"faire has an "i," être does not, so the passé simple of faire would have an "i," and the passé simple of être would not. It's a bit simplistic, but it helped me keep the two verbs straight until I didn't have to think about which was which any more."

Translation for ice cream

The Quebecois term "la crème glacée" was rejected as a translation for "ice cream," which seems unfair. It should at least be allowed as one of the alternate suggestions.

Get recommended lessons by levelMy placement test put me at A2. I've been taking an A2 test, back to A0, then A1, and finally another A2. I'm not worried about A0 or A1 but I'd like to be able to take a look at what Kwiziq recommends for me in A2 before I take the last test. Unfortunately you seem to only get recommendations after you take a test (even though I know darn well Kwiziq is tracking me at every level.)

in present and future tenseHi, do I understand it correctly that one always uses ou regardless of the tense? Like for example in "the day I will marry" or "today is the day I go skiing for the first time" or something like that?

Question about some translations in this lessonI am confused as to when to use the present tense vs. the passe compose. For example: Rien n'est arrivé. Nothing has arrived.Nothing has happened. It is to do with the use of "has". For Rien n'est arrivé. Nothing has arrived.Nothing has happened. Why not Nothing arrived.Nothing happened. Or, why not say Rien n' arrive

why autant que when "chante" is a verb?Why is "autant que" use with the verb action of "chante," when "aussi que" is used with the verb action of "nage" in a different example?  Both are verbs.
