Do you how to say, "the very benefits" in French?
Of the bellow translation, which is the appopriate translation of "According to the 2017 State of American Vacation study"?
Selon l’étude sur l’état des vacances aux États-Unis de 2017 or Selon l'étude menée en 2017 sur l'état des vacances en Amérique.
I encounter "hanoukia," the french word for menorah, most often spelled w/ two k's, ala "hanoukkia." Even here, there's an A1 quiz question "Nous allumons les bougies de la hanoukkia ________."
Does courir have this quirky root because it is part of that messy 3rd group of verbs, and is grouped with things like aller, faire, prendre, voir, pouvoir, vouloir, devoir,. Is it right there's no real pattern here, you just have to learn them?
This lesson doesn’t explain why sont isn’t necessary in the sentence: Ils brûlent tous. They ARE burning all the books. I got this wrong with no explanation as to why. Help? Thanks.
The English translation of the above example should be “there were a hundred or so people that day” , not was a hundred. The total number of people overrides the fact that they are one hundred.
Why the 'le'?
shouldn't it be "de nouvelles technologies"? no s if an adjective comes before noun?
