Both indirect and direct object pronouns used with past tense, and faire + infinitive in one sentenceHello Kwiziq,
I was just doing an exercise on another site, where they used a complex sentence to say this:
"Ces jolies robes, je vous les ai fait raccommoder."
It made me think if it's a correct construction or not, because in these cases I always see "le/la/les" before the infinitive. Maybe I missing something?
Would the sentence "Ces jolies robes, je vous ai fait les raccommoder" imply the same meaning, is one more correct than the other, or perhaps they both work (without any ambiguity)?
Also, thank you all in advance. Thanks to your exercises and easy-to-understand explanations, I could finally break my plateau and become more confident when I'm talking to someone.
How about moi? Can you say Tu me parles?
Bonjour, il paraît que cette vidéo a disparu. Est-ce que vous pouvez la remplacer ? Merci bien !
Bonjour à tous et toutes:
J'aimerais bien poser une question qui concern l'expression "sauter le pas". J'ai appris que cet expression signifie qu'on a décidé de se marier. J'aurais dire "jeter à l'eau", n'est pas? Why does the quiz mark my answer wrong when i choose: j'ai donné mon ordinateur ancien à la associe....it says correct option is '...mon ancien ordinateur...' but wouldn't that mean 'the last/previous computer that i owned' as per the rule described ?
Is this an exception as in French there are so many exceptions to a rule :( ?
Or is it a mistake in the quiz ? Please clarify . Thanks
In case of " bien que" in "aimer bien" followed by "que" , why is the verb " faire" in subjonctif( such as the example in the lesson: J'aimerais bien que tu fasse le petit-dejeuner. I don't understand here . So in this case, have we still use subjonctive mood? Thanks!
I have celebrated Hanoucca with my family and friends for many years. We never have a Hanoucca bush! This is a symbol that is related to Christmas and has nothing to do with Hanukah. Please correct this, it is misleading and upsetting for people to think that we decorate a bush.
Thank you for your wonderful website and weekly exercises.
