Please post vocabulary for basic maths here. It only says "manger" in the vocab when the topic is basic maths.
Bonjour Madame,
In the sentence given in the lesson as
"Ta téle est bien mais la mienne est mieux"
In this sentence although the comparative form of 'bien' has been used but then also ' que' has not been used;though here 'mieux' is I think has been used as an adjective.
Mam,Pls guide the reason behind not writing 'que'
Thanks
Hello,
Does kwiziq by chance have a list of verbs that typically go with à? I would find this really helpful. Thanks!
Amber
Example:je décide de pratiquer in English I decide to practice and I try to attend in French j’essaye d’assister. Why to remplace by ‘de’ ????
Par example, pour exprimer une action qui s'est passée juste avant une autre, pouvons-nous dire:
"ils étaient venus d'arriver quand la pluie s'est arretée"
In one of the answers to a question in the corresponding lesson regarding articles for countries, Cécile advises that Israel and some random island countries like Malta, Cyprus, Haiti and Cuba do NOT take an article (le, la, les or l’). From the above exercise it appears that Monaco is also included on this small list of countries without a gender. Just out of interest, does anyone know why Monaco doesn’t have one? I wondered if it was because it’s just an abbreviation of la Principauté de Monaco? (But then again, the names of most countries are abbreviations of their official names, so that doesn’t help us to decide whether to add an article, and maybe it’s just something we have to learn individually for each country)
I could not find rules for punctuation on your site. I tried other sites on line but they seemed confusing and inconsistent. I am sure you could do a better job explaining the rules that you follow.
Tôt is wrong to say you are early today? Why?
