This is in the lesson examples:
Sophie a mal à l'oreille.Sophie's ear aches.
Sophie has an earache
But when I entered « Aurélie a mal à l’oreille » as the quiz answer it said I was wrong and should have answered « Aurélie a mal aux oreilles ». Which version is actually correct?
Is it also correct to say:
Elle rappelle à Alain sa sœur
I am getting this word order in Reverso translation and Google Translate for many examples I made up with the same structure. I know Google Translate is not always reliable, but I have also seen other examples that seem to indicate the word order above is used as well as the one used in the lesson. Thank you.
test question asked for "I feel nothing". I put "Je me sens rien" and it was marked incorrect. The correct answer was "Je sens rien". Please explain.
Bonjour! Je suis étudiant. Pouvez-vous m'aider avec cet exercice?
Écrivez 3 phrases avec en, 3 phrases avec y. Vous pouvez utiliser les verbes: avoir besoin de, se souvenir de, parler de, penser à, réfléchir à.
J'ai encore des cadeaux à acheter. - Marie les a déjà tous achetés
Why is the "achetés" plural in this case. As it is not conjugated with être in passé composé my understanding is that it would not agree?
Why was my answer: " Je suis en retard cinq minutes"
marked wrong and the only correct answer was "J'ai cinq minutes de retard".
I thought that there were two ways to say "I was 5 minutes late"
The answer to Martin likes Sarah is marked differently in different tests:
1) Martin aime Sarah
2) Martin aime bien Sarah
Please explain. Jane
Hello,
So If I'm understanding this correctly when the definite article is before a noun it remains when the verb is negative?
il aime le Café et le chocolate.
Il n'aime ni le Café ni le chocolate
But if the indefinite or partitive article is before a noun in an affirmative sentence the article is then removed when negative?
Elle commande de l'eau et du vin.
Elle ne commande ni eau ni vin.
Thanks
Nicole
Hello,
So what I'm getting here is use only Est- ce que when you have a yes or no question instead of inverted form?
Thanks
Nicole
Can you use s’intéresser à instead of être intéressé de?
