Tu es means “you are”
So when you ask someone Are you hungry?
It should be
Tu es faim?
But why are we saying?
Tu as faim?
From the fourth to the seventh. Why is it de quatre au sept and not du quatre? From the explanation it seemed clearly to be du in the lesson. What did I get wrong in this particular case? Thanks.
Since the active voice was imperfect (Marie caressait son chat), why is not the passive voice also imperfect? I had chosen Son chat était caressé par Marie-

I had "Vas te coucher" as my translation of "Go to bed". It is listed in the example as a correct translation. Can you tell me why it was marked as incorrect please.
As you can see, in such cases, tout becomes toute in front of feminine adjectives, but only when they start with a consonant or an aspirated h.
But in the above examples tout did not become toute...what am I missing....???
