Is there a lesson about the verbes d'état on kwiziq?
It was stated in the questions that a lesson about it was added to to-do-list but I couldn't find one.
Thanks a lot.
I'm trying to pay attention to where the s ending one word is pronounced or not when followed by a word starting with a vowel, is there a rule I can memorise? For instance in the examples here it is not sounded in 'tu has une soeur' but in both of 'Ils ont un...' and '...des yeux'
Regarding 'Ils ________ pendant les vacances." you give the answer as 'auront grandi'. Reverso gives both an avoir and an etre form forr the future anterior of grandir. I assumed as this was intransiitive it would be the etre form?
In this exercise, can we substitute the preposition “à” for “dans” in any or all of these sentences:
1. Nous irions ensemble dans des galeries d’art (ou à des galeries d’art) ?
2. Nous pourrions manger dans un bon bistrot (ou à un bon bistrot) ?
3. Je l’emmènerais dans un charmant petit parc (ou à un charmant petit parc) ?
I put “à” for (1) and (3) and wondered if it was acceptable alternative, similar to saying “on va au cinéma” ou “à la boulangerie”.
In the phrase "j'ai pris la petite creature dans mes bras et je l'ai ramenée chez elle" you use the pronouns la and chez elle meaning it is a feminine dog. In the beginning of the story you use the pronoun "un chien" meaning a masculine dog. I am confused with the pronouns used to describe the dog.
Thank you,
Nancy
Can we use "finalement" instead of "enfin"?
Is « un chat sympa » not a good translation?
