The model text uses "ont fait transféré"—should that not be "ont fait transférer"? (As another thing, I don't think "saisi" should be translated into English as "seized" in this context: more like "informed" or "apprised".)
Why isn’t the answer dans Le?
Me suis__________________ cours de danse
I noted in the quick lesson that it should be dans la if it is specific and en if it is general. Cours de danse seems specific, but I got the answer wrong.
Le chiffre de 0,274 % n'est pas correct ! La probabilité d'être né un jour donné au cours d'une année normale est de 1/365 = 0,273 %. Or, le 29 février ne se produit que tous les quatre ans. Le calcul correct est donc 1/(365 + 365 + 365 + 366) = 0,068 %.
Here is the phrase: "Enfin, j'arrive sur la Grand-Place et je retrouve mon frere a cote de la fontaine."
Note: "La Grand-Place" was given as the hint for this sentence, otherwise I might have written, "la Grande-Place", (even though the pronunciation is "grand" and not "grande").
Does anyone know why " la Grand-Place", rather than "la Grande-Place" since "la place" is feminine ?
Merci beaucoup !
Hi, Just checking. - Are the grammar videos supposed to have soundtracks? Mine are silent and I've checked all my volume controls. The sample phrases are fine, though. Best regards, Val
I am not sure there should be an extra e at the end of je l'ai regardé as shown in the four options as offered.
Aaron
I answered incorrectly "au haricot vert", and was wondering if the difference is audible? Though perhaps this is something to know context rather than hear.
Interesting, the answer is probably, "Is Lucie coming to the cinema" but, "Lucie.. is she coming to the cinema" might change the emphasis but would be perfectly correct in English...
I have noted in another post recently that it is a frustration, annoyance even, to come to a lesson, struggle with a concept, and then find the same question arising often in Q and A. The Q&A section is often very long, and repetitive with a mix of highly relevant and less relevant comments (like this one in this section perhaps? - shrug), and reading all the way through it after every section, is not the most efficient use of study time. I suggest that when the urge arises to write in response to a question anything along the lines of 'this has been asked and answered before', that should signal the need for the question/answer to be directly addressed in the lesson - initially an addendum tagged in at the end of the lesson, but subsequently properly incorporated, for example. This is presented as an opportunity for improvement rather than just a criticism - as the end product will be much better lessons. Others may have other suggestions to address this and improve further.
