Bonjour Liz,
You're right that "tu connais la fille avec qui je suis parti en vacances ?" and "tu connais la fille avec laquelle je suis parti en vacances" are both correct in French. I checked the test question and I can see what happened. The question is "Which sentence is NOT correct ?". Therefore, you should tick the answer which is incorrect rather than the correct one ;-)
