Why is it "les" (sushi in general) instead of "de" (not any)? Same question later on in reverse - why is it "si vous avez de la Tiger" (some Tiger) and not "la Tiger" (Tiger beer in general)? Somehow I can understand how to use the subjunctive, but cannot master the French articles and prepositions which seem to pose the biggest challenge.
Does ‘copine/copain’ suggest a less serious relationship than partenaire and does ‘êtres chers’ work for loved ones? Thanks
Can “Ça marche géneralement plutôt bien” ( quite well) be rendered as assez bien? I e would assez bien and plutôt bien be interchangable in above sentence?

I am having great difficulty with this despite various peoples attempt to explain. Could someone give a few more examples in English, just breaking the sentence down and showing how you understand which is the subject and which is the object. Thank you!

Why is this not “ Mon père et vous vous êtes-vous ennuyés hier soir ?”
It’s a lot of “vous”, but it seems more consistent to me to “vouvoyer” throughout.
There is a glitch in the writing and dictation exercises -- when you finish typing and hit enter (or whatever), it moves directly to the next portion to read/listen to without giving the option to grade it. It's frustrating.
This lesson is too complex and far too much information is posted. Can you split it up into five or six different lessons? I am not learning well with this current set up.
