"I only have a book" vs "I only have one book"Hi, I'm wondering about the difference between "I only have a book" and "I only have one book", which mean distinct things. It seemed to me that "Je n'ai qu'un livre" would be the former when I encountered it first. Is there anything that would differentiate the two English sentences? (No biggie, just wondering.)

Different meaning between the verbs, approcher and rapprocherThe dictionary meaning shows both of these verbs as meaning "to move closer together." Is it correct that approcher applies to moving closer between 2 physical locations, and rapprocher applies to personal relationships with other people, as is the case in this exercise?

Hi,

I was wondering if somebody could explain to me please when one should use 'Y' vs using 'En'.
For example, in trying to say "She thinks of it" - could it not be "elle y pense" or "elle en pense"?
Is it just determined by the context? Ie if the sentence before used De use En or if it used A use Y?

Any help greatly appreciated.

"should" vs "would have to"Hi, from what I gather from this lesson, basically "je devrais" should mean "I would have to", which essentially turns into "I should". Is this correct? So "Je devrais apprendre l'anglais" could mean "I would have to learn English" or "I should learn English" depending on the context, correct? thanks.

Why is "and the accordion used to touch her chin" translated as "et l'accordéon lui touchait le menton" and not as "et l'accordéon la touchait le menton"?

When toucher is used with a noun as an object the pronoun is "la", e.g. "it touches Marie" is "ça touche Marie" and "it touches her" is "ça la touche" so why is "lui" correct in the case above? It seems to imply that the verb was "toucher à".
