a specious explanation. Brushing of my hair!

I translated this exercise perfectly but scored zero. That was I misunderstood and found the exercise difficult to interpret.

Is it true that unlike mentioned in this lesson, Faux/Fausse can also come after the noun? And when it does come after, it has to mean "wrong". (..instead of "fake/false")?

- J'ai tapé un code faux et ma carte est bloquée.

- Malgré quelques réponses fausses, j'ai réussi l'examen.

In the sentence, "Je vais me laisser tenter par la deuxième option qui a l'air vraiment intéressante à faire.", the adjective, intéressante, is féminine.   I would have thought that this adjective is modifying the word 'air', which is masculine, rather than obliqely referring to the feminine noun, 'option'.  Could you explain?

On a writing exercise (Cette Semaine) was asked to translate : On Monday, I went shopping with my son. My response - Lundi, j'ai fait les magasins avec mon fils. It didn’t match answers given - Lundi, je suis allé faire les magasins avec mon fils. Is there anything wrong with my answer? Went shopping is translated similarly here. 

I'm not sure why but in this lesson, the examples I see are all in English. There is no French translation. Anyone else had this problem? I have seen it once or twice before.

This question was asked in a previous quiz, and the answer was you cannot tell the gender of the ‘“amie”. I understand that the ending e makes it a female friend, but if the question is verbalized, that is not available information. In the quiz I just took, the answer is ‘a woman’. I am confused as to how to answer this question in future quizzes, as two different answers have been given.
