What is the difference between "es" and "as"?
There seems to be a subtle difference between en même temps and à la fois when expressing "at the same time"; can you state the general rule?

I thought that "vieux" can be singular AND plural but the quiz says it is only singular.

Why would one say "il me reste des croissants" when "croissants" is a plural word and "il me reste" is a singular phrase? Is this just an expression?
