I'm a bit confused as to whether to use Tout le monde as a singular or plural word:

"Tout le monde va dormir"

"Tout le monde vont dormir"

Why is it 'ce sont mes livres' not 'c'est'?Above it says when a thing is about to be mentioned always use 'c'est'. The previous mention is in another sentence.

Passé simple vs. Imparfait"During that time, I was very busy." is translated using le Passé simple. However, would not l'Imparfait be more appropriate here, given that it is a statement about a longer period of time? -- Chris.

"Ce n'est pas un problème" ?

In one of the test the question is:

"Désolé, j'ai oublié mon argent. - Oh, ________." Sorry, I forgot my money. -Oh, it's not a problem.

The correct answer given was «Ça ne fait rien.»

Why couldn't i say "Ce n'est pas un problème" ?

when do you use "Quand" I've been seeing this word "lorsque" a lot when people seem to be saying "when" and I don't understand when to use which.

Is ice cream plural in French?In the weekend A1 writing excersize it gave, "Leurs glaces sont excellentes !" as the answer for, "Their ice cream is excellent." I got it wrong, of course, because I used it as a singular like I would in English. But earlier in the dialog, they also used it singularly, so I'm not sure why or when it should be plural?

Why 'avoir' instead of 'etre' before 'raison'I saw in one of the examples the following sentence. Je crois que mon ami a raison. why is 'a' used before 'raison'. Shouldn't it be 'est' if we speak literally?
