You use "il/elle" for opinions and in specifying a particular item. But say "C'est une jolie robe."
I don't get it.
Why is "celle" the correct answer to this
"J'aime ta robe mais je préfère ________ que Laura porte,"
rather than "laquelle"?
Aren't they both pronouns identifying one among others?
I have an older Collins dictionary which uses the French word, poste, for shift in this context. There are several other suggestions but the word, garde, is not even mentioned. Should I get a new dictionary?
Hi, in the line
“Second, express your deepest feelings.”
for which the answer is
“Deuxièmement, exprimez vos plus profonds sentiments.”
Should this be “Deuxième”. Same point for Troisièmement & Quatrièmement.
I did have to look this one up! But for anyone else who was wondering, "sans chocolat" is absolutely correct. I had thought it would be "sans le chocolat."
I was almost finished the level evaluation test when I inadvertently logged out.
However when I returned clicked on finish test to bring back the work and was told I had 0% correct with nothing answered (not true). Why can't I access the test again or a similar one? I'd like to know the results. Now the system is choosing work for me based on 0% knowledge.
Can this be rectified?
Thanks,
