This is more of a comment than a question.  My problem is that in terms of the grammar, I know all the concepts and have achieved 90% in my progress reports.  I only achieved 50% for this because of the speed and liaison/elision of the speaker.  For example  "moins le quart" sounded to me like moinsquart.  I did not pick up the "le".  Another example "Le taxi arrivera vers six heures et demie", I didn't hear "vers" at all, so substituted "à" for it to make sense.  I need B1 to be successful in an application for citizenship.  Phew!!  I've got a long way to go.

I have several questions about word choices I made that were crossed out as though incorrect, so I need to understand why my choices were wrong.

I used « En général » instead of « D’habitude »

I used « je n’ai pas envie de courir » instead of « je n’aime pas courir »

I used « passionnant » instead of « excitant »

I used « ils ne touchent plus la terre » instead of « ils ne touchent plus par terre » or « ils ne touchent plus le sol »

I used « soudainement » instead of « soudain »

Were my choices incorrect, or were they just not one of several sentence constructions that could have been made? It is hard to benefit from these exercises if you don’t know!!

What is the meaning of enchaînait as it applies in this particular sentence?:

Il enchaînait les conquêtes amoureuses en évitant à tout prix de s'engager.

It doesn't seem to fit the dictionary meaning.

On aime aller se  balader  le weekend.
