I had the same problème as Andrew with the following question. I think that there is a question mark missing in this test question.
7''Fais-tu la vaisselle'' means:Do the dishes! Are you doing the dishes?...etc

Error in test?
This question relates to:French lesson "Inverted questions in the present tense (Le Présent) in French - regular forms (except il/elle/on forms)"
Asked 1 year ago
Bonjour Ann,
The question mark has been taken away to test users' understanding of the lesson content. It would be a little bit too obvious if it was there. ;-)
Also, the inversion is only used in questions as explained in the examples below.
Fais la vaisselle = Do the dishes -> the subject has been dropped, which means it is an Imperative statement - Conjugate regular verbs in the imperative mood in French (L'Impératif)
Fais-tu la vaisselle = Are you doing the dishes -> the pattern [verb-subject] is always in a question
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
