I put the first as my answer to the question but was flip flopping between the two in the text box. Is the reason I got it wrong because there is no context to use "lui?" is there a context where "lui" would be correct?

Pouvez-vous dire simplement "consigne" en lieu de "consigne à bagages"?
The lesson said that y replaces [à+ thing], and that an indirect pronoun replaces [à + person].
The question was "Il pense à sa famille. Elle....pense aussi." 'Famille' is people, so why is the answer given as 'y' and not 'leur'?
I learned that "ma" changes to "mon" if the female noun starts with a vowel, for pronunciation.
But does this "mon" changes back to "ma" if there ist another adjective in between?

Same question about « how would you say someone needs … » three times. First time I chose the « avoir besoin de » and the « dois » option - wrong. Next time I chose only the « avoir besoin de » option to correct the first quiz - wrong. Third quiz I go back to choosing both - wrong. What gives? It’s the same question with different subject/object?
I wrote « tu connais la fille avec qui je suis parti en vacances ? », which was marked incorrect. Would « tu connais la fille avec laquelle je suis parti en vacances ? » be correct? Any explanations would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
