Why include "or an object"

Why include "or an object"

You say:

The pattern to spot is that we use "ce qui" when the next word is a verb or an object or reflexive pronoun.

In my opinion, it would be better to say

“Ce qui” is always used when the next word is a verb or reflexive pronoun.

Including “or an object” is confusing and irrelevant.

Marcus,

I agree the description could be clearer but it is correct and ‘ objects’ can follow ‘ ce qui ‘.

For example “ Je ne sais pas ce qui vous/lui/m’ arrive “.  The verb form is ‘ arriver à qqn ‘ - the pronouns following ‘ ce qui ‘ are (indirect) object pronouns, not reflexive pronouns as  ‘ arriver ‘ is not a reflexive verb.
