Why is fut used in the above, rather than était.To the best of my knowledge, we have not been introduced to the Historic?

Does Tout ce dont also have the same meanings - [everything that/ all that], or is there any additional meaning to it?? Please confirm. Also a few examples would be great.

(of course that the context will differ with the inclusion of de in 'tout ce dont', than 'tout ce qui' and 'tout ce que')

In the audio for “Mais la ville essaie de prendre des initiatives écolos.” it sounds to me like a conjugated “prend” (i.e. silent “d”, so sounds like “pren”), instead of the infinitive “prendre”.

Correct: Il est allé visiter une maison.

Incorrect: Il est allé à visiter une maison.

Could the postman say “je fais un boulot important”?

The sentence refers to buying a "region".  To me, that implies a rather large estate with a fancy house and well-kept grounds.  My dictionary gives 'terres' as the preferred choice over 'domaine' when referring to lands.  Should this option not be added?  If not, why is domaine preferred?

Hi, just to let you know, there are three occasions in this exercise where there is “mille-sept-cent…” in the audio, but “dix-sept-cent…” in the text”.

"Parvenir" goes with être and "Convenir" goes with avoir (unlike venir) in Passé composé?? Same goes for "Survenir" (goes with être) and "Subvenir" (goes with avoir). Where can I find all such cases of Venir??? The list given on Kwiziq does not have these verbs - https://french.kwiziq.com/revision/grammar/verbs. Please help.

Does anyone have any recommendations of how to get a full on immersive french experience in France? I am trying to get ready for DALF C1 exam and want to improve fluency quickly. I am looking for 2–3 weeks in France ideally with 3-4hours of structured learning. Ideally staying with someone who speaks only french. Institute Francais seems to have something but it is very expensive and probably too intense.
