Why is it "était DE" here? Why is the "DE" used ?
I'm not sure why but in this lesson, the examples I see are all in English. There is no French translation. Anyone else had this problem? I have seen it once or twice before.
hi, why "L'année prochaine" is femenine in the example:
L'année prochaine, il commence l'université.
What does this mean, kindly illustrate it with an example.
When the subject of your interrogative sentence is a noun, this one comes first and it's then repeated by the matching pronoun
I always say this to my daughter (I'm trying to teach her french too). But if this is more of a general statement, is that a bit of a weird way to speak to a child then? I.e. to tell them to go and brush their teeth.
should it not be "ces sont des amours" rather than "ce sont des amours"?
