Pendant que instead of tandis que

I feel like pendant que could be used here instead of tandis que, since we’re talking about a temporal situation. Why is pendant que not given as a possible translation ?

Also, what is the KwizIQ team’s commitment to responding to questions on the weekend workouts? They haven’t seemed very responsive lately.

Under the 'Special Cases' section, ne pas sentir or ne sentir pas?Under the 'Special Cases' section, one of the fixed expressions says '-ne pas sentir la rose...', but the examples have the ne ... pas surrounding sentir. Is there a time when it would be 'ne pas sentir ...', or is the expression written that way to show that it is literally 'to not smell'? Thank you for the clarification. Terri

Purpose of rendu

'Nous t'avons rendu visite il y a une semaine.'

What is the purpose of rendu in this sentence if visiter can be used as a verb? Possible to say “Nous t’avons visité il y a une semaine”

Choosing a tenseI am wondering about the once upon a time a king lived in a castle. Can this be more than one tense. If it is a story concerning a king who lived in the castle, then it is imperfect. What if it is about kings in general once upon a time a king lived in a castle, now he lives in a council house. Does the tense still have to be imperfect, or could it be that that situation is completely changed and it could be past historic. A bit confused.

CP VS le subjonctif? Hey! I was wondering if one could sometimes replace the conditionnel passé with the subjonctif, and vice versa. This because the CP also technically deals with "judged" (you should have done x" situations?

Usage of dernière (please excuse position of accent)In the recent A2 writing challenge - A lousy date, second sentence is "Take my last adventure". Last here means previous. so as per rule it should come after the noun, "Prenez mon aventure dernière". But the correct answer given in the WC is "Correct answer: Prenez ma dernière aventure : ". Why is derniere used before the noun?
