Je crois que le verbe "attendre" veut dire "to wait for". (J'attends ma mère, le train, etc.)
Pourquoi est-ce qu'on dit ici "alors attendre pendant des mois POUR une tomate".
Expliquez, s'il vous plaît.
According to Le Robert and Larousse (Word Reference too) the French noun for the English 'oval' is «ovale» (masculine). The lesson is currently miscorrecting this to 'oval'. Also, I understand that not all acceptable answers can be included but «lèvres minces» is the first option given by Le Robert, and the phrase my French wife would have used on first thought ahead of «lèvres fines» - is it difficult to add this as an acceptable option at the very least?
1. Can I use "empirer" instead of exacerber or aggraver in the sentence "ce qui ne faisant qu'exacerber les problèmes ..."?
2. Why do we use faire ... instead of the word itself?

Au sujet de la parte de la phrase, 'dont il avait pu admirer les grandes percées' , je me demande si c'est également correcte de l'écrire, 'dont il avait été capable d'admirer les grandes percées' ?
I completed this B1 dictée without a mistake--the first time I've been able to do this on any dictée at this level! I think it really helps to have the vocabulary listed in French at the beginning--it can be difficult to choose among different options on the translation sites. Also, the reader has a nice, clear voice. Thanks for all you do to make learning French so satisfying!
Why does repondre keep the d in the present tense when prendre loses it and yet they are supposed to follow the same rule as irregulars?
why is 2h preferable to 2heures? writing the word got me marked as nearly correct
I think I'm a bit confused when to use "voir" and "regarder". Also, would it be wrong to say "elle s'assoit toujour près de la fenêtre"?
