I am confused by this answer. Tout should be masculine singular whereas herbe is feminine singular and thus should have toute, I would have thought. The lesson very confusingly talked about the differences for tout/tous/toute/toutes modifying feminine adjectives but didn't say anything about changes for feminine nouns.
so basically you must memorize every noun's gender (le "noun", la "noun") to be able to use partitive articles correctly?
Just curious - is there a difference in the pronunciation of these two phrases ?
I am not getting difference between Quelle est ta nationalité? And Quelle est votre nationalité?
Why aren't "guillemets" (chevrons) accepted ? Dans « Le cœur a ses raisons ». My understanding is the chevrons are the standard quotation marks while the double quotes, as in English, are only used when quoting inside quotes, for example, « something "else" ».
I'd really like the comprehension exercises to be in French - please!
Why does Kwiziq mark you down for either not using punctuation marks which are not spoken in the dictation or for not placing them a letter distance away from the phrase they refer to?
In a quiz, I had to write a few dates in French. I used numbers in all of them and they were marked correct.
However, my answer "le 14 juillet" was marked as "nearly", explaining that "le quatorze juillet" is correct.
This was the example for plurals. Would the correct answer not be: Nous y pensons a faire? (Since the y is replacing nos devoirs). Nous pensons à faire nos devoirs. Nous y pensons
