For “competition” I used the word concours instead of compétition; is there any problem with that?
Hello, I am a little bit confused on the use of à and the pronouns (me, te, nous, vous). Why is it “je tiens à toi” and not “je te tiens” (I am trying to say I care about you). thank you.
- Is s'il vous plaît used with veuillez not redundant? (I wrote Veuillez vous asseoir and the "correct" response was given back to me as Veuillez vous asseoir, s'il vous plaît.)
- The text uses "les médicaments" rather than the singular; would that always be the case or is that just an interpretation of the English sentence? I.e., it could either be a mass noun or a single, specific drug.
My two brothers are good at languages, but neither is good at maths
Should this be "ni l'un ni l'autre n'est bon"? According to a french speaking friend (and Gemini) l'un and l'autre refer to each brother individually, so it should be singular.

Salut,
Maybe it's only me, but I hear this as "Kay" est-ce qui faut faire . Is this correct? I thought it was "Keh" est-ce...
Merci!
I am enjoying these exercises. The length of the passages is just right for me. My understanding of spoken French is about level A2 ( after I have listened once or twice) though my reading level is B1/B2. however, the site takes some study to navigate For instance how to move from one dictation to the next is not clear.
Its a cute little exercise but with it being a beginner exercise .. . Focusing on proper pronunciation should supersede show. The fully little voice frankly mispronounces a few words that context makes one able to figure it out but at this level, its hard enough just getting the words much less sorting through a strange (though cute) little acting voice.
Where does it go in a sentence with a compound verb when one is reflexive? Je vaism’en passer de pain????
Why passe compose with "We enjoyed ..." and "we drank..." rather than imparfait?
