French Present Subjunctive

The present subjunctive is the present tense of the subjunctive mood. It is used after certain conjunctions, expressions, and verbs to indicate some sort of subjectivity, such as doubt, fear, necessity, or possibility.

For example

Je prépare le dîner pour que tu puisses étudier. - I'm making dinner so that you can study.

Il est important que nous soyons à l'heure. - It's important for us to be on time.

Es-tu content qu'elle vienne à la fête ? - Are you happy that she's coming to the party?

Elle ne veut pas que j'aie raison. - She doesn't want me to be right.
